You are what you eat…On.
You can indeed judge a book by it’s cover, as long as that book is a high-end restaurant situated in a gorgeous hotel and the cover is the plate on which you are served dinner.
A hotel’s china is a small detail indeed, but one that I have begun to notice more since it was pointed out to me by a wonderful colleague who is a long-time hospitality homie (has worked in this industry FOREVER). She told me about the collection of china that one of the world’s mahjor hotel associations keeps (undisclosed, sorry for ya), because not only does it represent a hotel in it’s style and presence but also demonstrates their attention to detail at the restaurant and the hotel.
Some of my most favoritist chine chine that I have had the pleasure of drinking coffee out of and eating a delicious, syrup-covered brunch off of are the gorgeous pieces from Sonnenalp Resort of Vail, Ludwig’s Restaurant. Next time you have the chance to stay at an amazing resort, check out your dining pieces, and you will most likely be impressed.
Side Note: Sonnenalp’s oversized cup - how I NEED my coffee, everrryday.

Single girl traveling, taking a cab all on your lonesome? Best tip EVER to feel and be safer: text or smartphone email your cab company, number and time you got into your cab (+ any other dets you feel are uber importante) to someone who cares. This way if something were to happen to you, there would be a record of it. Not into the paranoid mindset? It helps when you leave something or your phone in the cab. Like I would ever do that. Whoopsies.
